Second Blogiversary

Today is my second blogging anniversary, or a blogiversary if you will. I was debating on posting anything since I’ve neglected my blog big time recently. I ultimately decided I would regret not posting anything, so I threw together a quick little year in review type post.

Before I get into my sad review, I’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who has continued to support me and Coffee and Fernweh. I’d also like to thank all of my new followers, somehow you have managed to find my blog and decided to follow along on my journey. Let’s get to it, shall we?

I had to downgrade my plan on WordPress and in doing so, lost a good chunk of posts that I had to re-do and repost, which took me a good month to accomplish, and to be honest, I’m not sure if they are still live.

I also fully committed to being a vegetarian in February 2019, and my blog has shifted to included my vegetarianism. I’m still trying to find the right way to incorporate being a vegetarian into my coffee and travel blog, so please bear with me.

Since October 2018, I haven’t taken too many travel adventures. Here is where I’ve been

November 2018: The Island of Hawai’i

Favorite Posts: City of Refuge, Greenwell Coffee Farm

December 2018: Maui
February 2019: O’ahu

Favorite Posts: The Laylow, Coffee in Honolulu
June 2019: Maui

I’m excited that I finally got to experience The Big Island and O’ahu. I’m sad that I’ve only been on two adventures in 2019, but life happens, and I was unable to get away as much as I wanted.

This is another area where I have been lagging. There are so many fantastic coffee shops in Southern California, but I have had zero motivation to get out and try any of them. I did however, find some amazing coffee in Honolulu. I’ve only been to six new coffee shops this year, five of which were in O’ahu. I did find a couple of new shops close to me in Whittier, so fingers crossed I can make it over there.

Guest Posts

I have been relatively lucky in my guest posts having three new posts published on We Are Travel Girls:
8 Things Not to Miss in Maui
5 Things You Can’t-Miss On Hawai’i
Instagram Worthy Places in Honolulu

Overall, my second year of blogging has been lackluster. I still learned a lot and made a lot of mistakes along the way. After the holidays, I fully plan to get back into the swing of things and make the most of my third year.

What would you like to see more of on Coffee & Fernweh? Is there anything you would want to be done differently? Let me know in the comments below. Mahalo for reading!
