Kaanapali Alii is private condominiums located directly on the golden sands of Ka’anapali Beach and is unlike any of the resorts on the beach. The condos here are lavish in size (1,500-1,900 square feet) you also have a state-of-the art fitness center, tennis court, spa, oceanfront swimming pools, golf, and barbecue grills all within a short walking distance of your condo. Each condo is fully furnished, has a gourmet kitchen, dining area, living room and all of the basic amenities of home. They offer one or two bedroom units, you can book a garden view, mountain view, partial ocean view, ocean view or ocean front. It’s also important to mention each unit is equipped with a full washer and dryer!
We’ve been staying at the Kaanapali Alii for as long as I can remember and honestly I wouldn’t have it any other way. Kaanapali Alii feels like a second home to me and in a way it is. All of the staff that we’ve encountered over the years have been so welcoming and friendly. Every condo we’ve stayed in has been clean, well maintained and a pleasure to call home for our visit.
As previously mentioned, Kaanapali Alii is located on Ka’anapali Beach, which has been named America’s Best Beach, and is another reason why I love stay at Kaanapali Alii. Ka’anapali Beach is three miles of pristine golden sands. While sitting on the beach you can see both Lāna’i and Moloka’i. On the beach you can do almost every water sport imagined. You can rent a paddle board, take surf lessons, rent a kayak, snorkeling at famous Black Rock is a must, during whale season (mid December to mid April) you can catch a catamaran right off the beach and go whale watching, off of whale season you can even go parasailing! Or if you’re a land dweller you can soak up the sun and people or whale watch, yes, you can see whales from the beach, they are actually pretty active and during season you can see them breach from the comforts of your beach chair/cabana 😉
In between the condo and the beach is walkway that stretches both up towards the Black Rock and down towards the Hyatt. Along this walkway you’ll find other resorts, Starbucks at the Marriott, and Whaler’s Village, which is a cute outdoor shopping center that has restaurants, a food court and some good shopping options. Sometimes along the walkway towards the Westin you can find a cute little craft fair and Tuesday-Thursday you can find Vili, he carves Tiki sometimes he has carved turtles and whale’s tails but he also has Tiki in a variety of sizes. He’s a really cool guy to talk to and his prices are good. Plus you know it’s a quality piece that has been hand crafted by him and not some cheap replica you may find at other places. Everyone in my family has purchased at least one of his works of art.
